Hadith Methodology And Literature
This is one of a very few books on hadith available in English. Written by Azami from University of Riyadh. The author intended that this work will
eliminate most of the doubts which have been created, deliberately or out of
ignorance, by Orientalists and others and would provide basic knowledge of the
subject. One would not gain the capacity to criticize the Hadith through reading
this book. Part one of this book deals with the subject of Hadith Methodology
and in part two deals with the literatures of Hadith. Very valuable work!
The Fundamentals of Tawheed
Written by Bilal Philips, this book is a very easy reading without
compromising the clarity and importance of the subject. Topics discussed
include; categories of Tawheed, categories of Shirk, Allah's covenant with Adam,
Charms and Omens, Fortune telling, Astrology, Magic, Transcendency, Seeing
Allah, Saint Worship and Grave Worship. No doubt this is a very important book
for all Muslim to read.

have easy access to scholars or knowledgeable people in their area. It mainly
contains fatawa from Saudi Arabia's scholars.
'Ulum Al-Qur'an

this as one of the basic knowledge that is important for all Muslim. Not to
become master in it but to just have an idea what the sciences of the Qur'an is
all about. The topics covered include; The Qur'an and Revelation, Transmission
of the Qur'anic Revelation, The Qur'an in Manuscript and Print, Form, Language
and Style, Understanding the Text, Interpreting the Text and Reading and
Studying the Qur'an.
Realities of Faith
This book is by Umm Muhammad. A very concise but useful work. The content
includes awakening (at-tanbeeh), taking account of the self (al-muhasabah), repentance
(at-tawbah), patience (as-sabr), the feeling of alienation (al-ghurbah),
supplication (ad-dua) and death (al-maut). A book that you want to read when
feeling down.
Raising Children According to the Qur'an and Sunnah
This book is by Faramarz bin Muhammad Rahbar. The content includes; the
education of parents first, ideological and intellectual education,

education. Even though short this book is full of very useful advise. Useful as
guideline for Muslim parents.
The Noble Qur'an
If you are looking for the best interpretation of the meanings
of the Qur'an in English language this is probably it. The original form comes
in nine volumes. It includes interpretation by At-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, and Ibn
Kathir whose work in Tafseer are widely acknowledge in the Islamic world.
Comments from Sahih Bukhari are also included. Unless you need to do reference
the summarized version should be suffice for daily reading. This work was done
by Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan from Islamic
University, Al-Madina Al-Munawwara.
Sahih Al-Bukhari
The summarized version is a must in your home library. It
excludes all repeated hadith that occur in the long version of this hadith
collection. This makes reading much easier. In all of hadith collection work
this is the only summarized version available. Very valuable for those who seek
to know the sunnah of the Prophet. Translation of Sahih
Bukhari, Sahih
Muslim, and Imam
Malik's Muwatta are now available online.
